The main console is the American built SPECK 800C and compares to a classic Neve in it’s response. The SPECK is actually less colored than a Neve, and it is very hot and powerful.
It has that low mid warmth and 3-D sound that everyone looks for but is hard to find. The sound quality in a mic pre-amp is derived from the transformer, the most critical component. “The sound is in the iron”.
